Through a partnership with the Mozilla Store and the Mozilla
Foundation, silverorange has recently completed a visual
redesign of the Mozilla Foundation website,
Mozilla.org. The
Mozilla Foundation, which runs and maintains the Mozilla.org
website, is a not-for-profit organization that oversees the
Mozilla open-source software project.
The new Mozilla.org style, code-named
Cavendish, is a
simple, clean, and elegant look for the Mozilla.org site.
High visibility pages have been redesigned, including the
home page,
products index page, and all of the key product pages. The site template for
all historical content has also been updated so the new look
is evident across the entire site.
Our design aims to feature key Mozilla products more
prominently - especially making key new products like
Firefox and Thunderbird quickly and easily available
directly from the home page. We have also aimed to create a
simple, flexible, and extensible template that will work
well for a large variety of content and for future
expansion. Careful attention was paid to keeping the site
flexible for a variety of browsers and browser sizes, while
maintaining a polished look and readable layout. The new
template is standards-compliant and makes it easy to apply a
professional look across the many types of content on the
Mozilla.org website.
While the major redesign work is over, we will continue to
work with the Mozilla Foundation on further improving the
Mozilla.org website.
